We're looking for a Packaging Operative

Wye Valley Brewery is an independent family Brewery located in Stoke Lacy, Herefordshire. Due to increased production demands we are now seeking to hire an additional production operative based in the cask racking area, and also working on our keg and bottling lines.

The successful candidate will be a motivated team player with excellent time keeping. You will preferably have experience gained in a manufacturing background ideally with a food or beverage company. You will have an awareness of working to strict quality and health & safety standards. A current fork-lift truck license would be a definite advantage. A degree of physical fitness will be required as the role involves repetitive lifting of 10 and 20kg casks.

The job will be based on one of the filling lines and will involve carrying out a range of production duties including: - cask and keg washing, inspection and filling, yeast skimming, beer transfer, vessel cleaning, fork lift truck driving, various bottling roles and general housekeeping tasks. The successful candidate will be given full training.

Hours: Standard 07:30-16:00. Other hours, weekends and Bank Holidays will be required depending on production requirements. A weekend duty rota of approximately 6 weekends will be required throughout the year after training.
